Basic supplies for a class of 25 students for a period of 1 school year, (4 schools terms).
This basic list covers different art projects involving painting, drawing and printmaking.

| Paper: | 1 ream A3 size cartridge paper |
| Paint: | 1 x 2lt. Chroma2 Washable paint colours: Cool Blue, Cool Red, Cool Yellow, Warm Blue, Warm Red, Warm Yellow, Black and 2 x 2 lt. White |
| Glue: | 4lt. Chroma Impasto Gel Medium, thick glue non runny highly recommended for construction, collage work and as a sealer. For projects that require thinner glue or to seal the collages cards for print making, it can be thin down with water. This item is an OPTION instead of PVA glue |
| Ink: | 1 x 250ml.Chromacryl Waterproof Drawing Ink, ideal for pen and ink and paint brush drawing, can be thinned down to create grey washes. The best way to dispense ink to students is to pour a bit into clean Jam jars with lids. |
| Pens: | 1 bamboo pen per student, for young students it is recommended to cut the tips by 1mm for easier handling, very economic pens for drawing. |
| Drawing: | 2 boxes of natural charcoal, willow charcoal medium size2 cans of fixative spray or strong hair spray2 boxes of 6B pencils, (12 per box)2 boxes of black permanent felt pens, medium size tips. This item is presented as an OPTION as pens are expensive. They are effective when applying washes of colour, (water colours, thin down paint) over the drawings as they don’t run. |
| Paint Brushes: | 1 x # 6 hog hair paint brush per student1 x # 4 cheap round pointed brush, inexpensive brush for water colour, ink and fine details10 x # 6 cheap short handle brushes to use with glue only |
| Cardboard: | 1 x A5 size piece of cardboard about 1 to 2mm thick (straw board) for printmaking. |
Art Materials for Painting – A Close Look at Nature
Chromacryl, Fluid Concentrate Acrylics in 6 Primary colours, cool yellow, cool blue, cool red, warm yellow, warm blue, warm red plus black and white to mix extra colours.
- 1 A3 size piece Cartridge paper per student
- 1 medium paint brush per student
- 1 piece of rag
- 2 water containers per group
- 2 ice cubes trays, to contain paint, per group
Notes:
Chromacryl, Fluid Concentrate comes in 250ml bottles, one set will be sufficient for several art projects as it is a Fluid paint that extends well, with a Gouache covering which can also be thinned down to create washes as watercolours.
