Who are we? 

Raquel Redmond studied Fine Art and Design at The George Washington University in Washington D.C., USA. She has also studied Fine Art and Printmaking at the Queensland College of Art Griffith University in Brisbane, Queensland. 

Since her first exhibition with the Queensland Arts Council in 1990, Raquel has successfully exhibited her Lino cuts and Wood cuts – depicting Queensland architectural themes and interiors in Brisbane. 

She was the Director of the Visual Arts Schools Program and children’s art exhibitions for the “Out of the Box” Children’s Festival from 1992 to 2000. For this festival she created the “Web” exhibition in 1996, “The Art of Eric Carle” children’s art activities in 1998, and in 2000 she presented “Me”, an exhibition of self-portraits by young children. 

Raquel has extensive experience designing and implementing “Artists in Residence” programs in primary schools in Brisbane and South East Queensland. In 1990, she started teaching privately from her studio in Bardon. In 1994 she founded Brava Art, an artist collective that focused on art education and visual art community activities. 

In 2014, Brava Art Press became part of the Chroma Australia Pty. Ltd. family.  Raquel is currently a Director of Chroma Australia Pty. Ltd.

Comments

How long we retain your data 

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
